And he was all "What?! ARE YOU CRAZY?!?! You mean that I can eat hot fudge sundaes every day for the next three weeks and lose weight??". And then she was all..."Well, yeah".
Your body wants to LIVE and be energetic and do fun active-ish things...like hiking or dancing until 2 am or putting plants in the dirt outside your house on a Sunday morning only to kill those same plants 4 weeks later (aka gardening).
The mind is a different story....especially the mind of a restrictor. The mind of a restrictor is so hyper focused on classifying foods into good and bad based on outside info...and then obsessing over all the foods it can't have.....that it's missing the simple answer.
Allow yourself ALL the foods.
Listen to how you feel as you chew them, swallow them, digest them.
Look for cues as to foods your body likes, loves, dislikes, etc.
Make mistakes, learn from the mistakes, SLOWLY get better at hearing the messages your body is sending.
You just need to make the decision to trust yourself.
Listen to your own internal wisdom over external "experts".....your weight will normalize (what does that mean? we'll talk about that another time) and you will STOP FEELING CRAZY AROUND FOOD. Period.
