(from the book When Women Stop Hating Their Bodies)
So what's up?? I mean, fat is just a descriptor, right? We all have fat. Some people just have more than others......and there are lots of things on my body I don't love....but I don't walk around saying "Ugh, I feel pink Irish skin" or "GAH!!! I'm SO size 6 shoe!".
Our bodies don't actually change very much from day to day. It's not possible. And yet, one day you could be feeling pretty darn great about yourself...and the next, all you can see is fat.
Have you experienced this? How is that?
Your body is not the problem. You're just blaming your body because you've been taught to - whether you realize it or not. And quite frankly, hating on your body is a lot easier, and more socially acceptable, than digging deep and owning the yucky stuff.
