You are addicted to a frame of mind.
The HIGH of starting a new diet. The possibility. The promise.
The superiority of being more disciplined and in control with food than those around you.
The stress and anxiety (and maybe excitement) before you weigh/measure yourself.
The release you feel when it eventually falls apart and you throw it all out the window.
You're addicted to the highs and the lows of dieting, restricting, controlling....and (when you can no longer control all the food and appetite and social situations) there is the very addictive feeling of exhilaration when you throw caution to the wind and let it all go....until, of course, very quickly that starts to feel awful physically & emotionally and you find yourself at the bottom of a hole.
It's a stress cycle that is keeping you locked in to negative behaviours that will eventually cause your weight to go up and your health to suffer...unless you decide to make a change. To try OTHER ways of thinking. feeling, finding stimulation and excitement.
Because, unless you try other frames of mind...like pleasure, allowance, trust, & respect...you'll never know how much better, and easier, and free life can be.
